Xmas is fast approaching. Its the time of year we tend to overindulge on everything we love!
Not only do we tend to throw the diet out the window during the festive period, but we also tend to sit in front of the TV countless hours with no exercise. Sounds familiar, right!
Xmas is a beautiful time of the year. However, it doesn't mean that your fit lifestyle has to go totally abandoned.
We have compiled a few of our best tips that can help you keep on track during the xmas festivities:
No Meal Skipping.
Perhaps on waking up, you might just skip breakfast! Don’t do it! Make sure that you keep to the amount of meals you normally eat. Even though it can be tempting to skip certain meals, believing that it will make up for the treats you consumed in the previous day, don’t do it because it will only lead to counterproductive results.
Get out of the House!
Even though its cold out and staying in pjs all day is tempting, set aside an hour or two every day to do some type of exercise. Perhaps your local gym is closed for the festive period, so why not plan some outdoor activities and get your friends and family involved?
What we mean is.. if there is an unopened full box of your favourite chocolates on the table, don´t lash out. Take some deep breathes and take a small handful of the chocolates and resist the temptation to finish the entire box.. just because it´s Christmas!
When you're out of your normal routine it's easy to forget about filling up your water bottle and staying hydrated. Remember to drink at least two litres of water each day. Change it up and why not add a squeeze of lemon into your water bottle. Alcohol will dehydrate your body too, so if you're planning on having a few cheeky beverages, make sure you also have a cheeky water bottle in your handbag!
Wishing you, your family and friends a fit Christmas and a fantastic 2019 in which we hope we hope to form part of! :)
